Service Plan

We offer a variety of service plans to meet your individual needs and the equipment which keeps you warm.

Oil Tank Installation & Abandonment

An oil tank isn't forever, particularly those that are installed or buried in the ground outside. The four seasons of Long Island, from hot and humid July's to icy, wet February's, shorten a tank's life span. An inside basement tank lasts longer but the corrosive nature of oil can cause thin spots on any tank. Generally the life span of a tank is from 10-20 or so years depending on conditions.

General maintains a specially trained team of oil tank installation experts, who will do the right job at the best price. General has access to the latest in oil tank technology and constantly reviews what's on the market, what's best for our customers and what's the best price. Your annual service checkup/tune-up includes a visual review of your oil tank, if possible, but there are certain signs of oil tank diminishment that you should be aware of. If you notice decreasing oil heat performance, let us know and we'll evaluate your entire heating system.

Remember, if you need an oil tank, your home heating solution company has the answer.

"General is a company with integrity... they've gone out of the way to help me."

Special Monitoring Services

Our Sentry Burner Heat Watch Program monitors your heating system for failure, and alerts our office should such a situation arise. This is especially useful and effective in homes where the owners may be away, perhaps a second home or on extended vacation. If the heating system fails, we're alerted and take the necessary steps to avoid any home damage.

The wireless OEM Fuel Rocket monitors tank levels, and provides General with the exact amount of oil left in the tank, so you don't run out (our commercial customers with multiple tanks find it especially helpful).
